TNT Scaffolding is a family-run firm based in Clitheroe, built from the ground up by people who started on the tools. For 30+ years we’ve put up safe, compliant access for homeowners, builders and businesses across Lancashire and North Yorkshire.
TNT was built by people who started at the bottom of the trade. Laurence Croasdale joined the company as a labourer in 2001, and Jake Dewhurst followed in 2013. Both were spotted early and put through their scaffolding apprenticeships — and from there, the work, and the team around them, grew.
What began as basic scaffolding on building sites turned into the complex stuff: falsework for big concrete pours, and the shoring of hazardous buildings — the work we believe we’re genuine specialists in. Add the countless temporary roofs we’ve erected in some of the most exposed corners of the country, and years spent working in heavy industrial settings, and there isn’t much we haven’t put our hands to.
We’ve worked alongside some of the best-known names across the north of England, from simple maintenance jobs to full furnace re-builds. Domestic, commercial or industrial — we really have done it all. What hasn’t changed is the promise in our name: Today, not tomorrow. We survey fast, we turn up when we say, and we leave the site clean.
Both directors came up the same way — labourer, apprenticeship, and on through to running the firm. Between them, Laurie and Jake bring a combined 30 years in the trade, across domestic, commercial and industrial work.
Laurie started here as a labourer in 2001 and never left. He came up through his apprenticeship and now holds a Level 3 NVQ in Rigging, Scaffolding and Offshore Scaffolding. He leads the firm and still has a hand in the trickier work — the shoring and falsework TNT is known for.
Jake joined the team in 2013 and trained through his scaffolding apprenticeship, working his way up to Director. He’s as at home on a complex industrial job as a domestic re-roof, and holds to the standard the firm was built on: do it properly, and do it when you said you would.
Every scaffold we put up is designed, erected and inspected to standard by CISRS-carded scaffolders. We carry £10M public liability cover, and sign off every job.

Every scaffolder either holds the Level 2 CISRS Diploma in Scaffolding Access or is working towards it — the construction industry’s recognised scaffolding standard.
Our director Laurence Croasdale holds a Level 3 NVQ in Rigging, Scaffolding and Offshore Scaffolding — the experience behind our specialist shoring and falsework.
We’ve always carried top-rate public liability insurance, with a total limit of indemnity of £10,000,000. Every job covered and signed off.
